"This is my third consecutive year participating in the Weekend for Breast Cancer 60km walk. The first year I was inspired by my mother, thankfully a cancer survivor. Last year I walked for my nephew, who although suffering a brain tumor, anxiously awaits the birth of his first child. This year, my motivation comes from thoughts of all the mothers who have been taken from their children too early in life. As I sit here holding my 3 month old son I can't imagine not hearing his first words or seeing his first steps. I can't imagine not being there to nurture and experience the growth of my children into the wonderful adults I know they'll be.
